This class will teach the beginner user GEOPAK applicable to Roadway design. The course was written to FDOT design and CADD standards, which will ensure compliance with FDOT Electronic Delivery requirements. Basic GEOPAK for Roadway Designers will layout the horizontal and vertical alignments, edge of pavement, shoulder, curb & gutter and sidewalk. This course was designed for the new user. The material was developed with FDOT projects in mind so any user producing roadway plans in Florida will benefit from taking this class.

• FDOT Standards for MicroStation & GEOPAK
• Creating a GEOPAK project to FDOT standards
• GEOPAK Project Manager
• COGO
• Graphical COGO – used to code in the plan features i.e. edge of pavement, curb & gutter, sidewalk
• Design & Computation Manager – using FDOT’s ddb file
• Existing Ground Profile
• Vertical Alignment Generator – using FDOT kvl files for the proposed profile
• Plan View Labeler – create custom labels that will be compliant to FDOT CADD standards
• Plan and Profile sheet clipping using the FDOT psl files

Prerequisites: A minimum of two months of MicroStation experience is recommended.
