This course is intended for the experienced MicroStation user and focuses on the features of MicroStation designed to improve user and work-group productivity. Providing lecture, demonstration and hands-on exercises, MicroStation V8 XM for Advanced Users begins with a thorough examination of user interface customizations. It then covers using AccuDraw in a 3D design environment and covers tools sometimes overlooked or not understood by the everyday or casual MicroStation user. Upon completion, students will be able to improve their drafting and design environment, gain a greater vocabulary of productivity options and apply advanced tools features and techniques to their MicroStation workflow.

Prerequisites: This course is recommended for those who have experience using MicroStation V8 XM Edition in a production 2D drafting environment. Student must be familiar with basic MicroStation commands and procedures; element placement, modification and viewing tools; and basic 2D drafting techniques.
